ColorVu 3.0 — what it actually does

Traditional CCTV switches to infrared at night — sharp images, but grayscale. ColorVu 3.0 uses an f/1.0 aperture (8× the light of an f/2.8) and a more sensitive sensor to produce full colour footage in 0.0005 lux — effectively darker than moonlight. The 3.0 generation adds a white-light supplement that fires only on motion, so you get colour identification without the camera glowing all night.

This bundle ships with a 4 TB surveillance-grade HDD already installed in the NVR — plug in, log in, record. Why this size and not the next one up/down

16-cam fully populates the DS-7616NXI-I2-16P-VPRO-4TB 16-channel NVR. No headroom for more cameras without buying a second NVR. This is the largest integrated-HDD configuration in the Hikvision Pro ColorVu range — if you need to grow beyond 16, look at enterprise NVRs (DS-7732NI / DS-7764NI) and a custom build.
