ColorVu 3.0 — what it actually does

Traditional CCTV switches to infrared at night — sharp images, but grayscale. Faces and vehicles all reduce to relative brightness. ColorVu 3.0 uses an f/1.0 aperture (8× the light of an f/2.8) combined with a more sensitive sensor and onboard image processing to produce full colour footage in 0.0005 lux — effectively darker than moonlight. The 3.0 generation adds a white-light supplement that fires only on motion, so you get colour identification without the camera glowing all night.
