This 12 V power supply unit lets an Ajax Hub, Hub Plus or ReX range extender run from a low-voltage source instead of mains. It is the answer for sites without reliable power, and for installs where the panel has to sit on a battery.
The unit replaces the pre-installed 110/230 V supply inside the device housing and connects through a standard power jack, with a terminal adapter bundled for bare-wire connections. Draw is modest — a ReX takes 20 mA — so a car or portable battery will keep a system running, which also makes it practical for mobile installations such as caravans and site offices.
