MotionProtect Jeweller is the indoor wireless motion detector that does the everyday work in an Ajax alarm: it watches a room up to 12 m out across an 88.5 degree spread and reports intrusion to the hub. It suits homes, offices and shops where a black finish blends into the wall.
A motion sensor sensor from Excelitas Technologies behind a Fresnel lens is paired with the SmartDetect algorithm and temperature compensation, which is what keeps false alarms down; pet immunity ignores animals up to 20 kg and below 50 cm in height. It talks to the hub on Jeweller, Ajax's encrypted two-way radio, at ranges up to 1,700 m in open space, and the pre-installed CR123A battery runs up to five years. Mounting is on a SmartBracket panel and settings are changed remotely, so minor adjustments do not need a site visit.
