Hub 2 (4G) is the control panel at the centre of an Ajax system, managing up to 100 devices and passing alarms to users and to a monitoring station. It suits homes and small commercial sites that want photo verification of an alarm rather than a bare event. The black plastic housing mounts on a SmartBracket panel without tools.
When a MotionCam detector triggers, the hub delivers the first photo in nine seconds, so an operator can see what caused the alarm before deciding how to respond. It runs Jeweller and Wings radio at ranges to 2000 m, keeps two GSM SIM cards and Ethernet as parallel communication paths, and holds up on its Li-Ion backup battery for 15 to 16 hours. Settings, users and scenarios are managed remotely through the Ajax apps on OS Malevich.
