FireProtect 2 SB (Heat) watches for the rapid temperature rise that comes with burning synthetic materials, making it the sensible choice for kitchens, garages and other rooms where a smoke detector would nuisance-trip. It is a wireless residential fire detector for indoor ceiling installation. The white housing mounts on a SmartBracket with an adjustable rotation angle.

Two external A1R-class thermistors trigger an alarm either on a 10°C rise inside one minute or on passing +64°C, and the built-in siren sounds at 85 dB from 3 m while the Ajax apps push a critical alert. Interconnected alarm links up to 200 detectors and sounds them within 20 seconds. This SB version uses sealed, non-replaceable batteries rated for 10 years of service, with a low-battery warning at least 30 days before discharge.
