Ajax FireProtect 2 SB (Heat/Smoke) Detector — Black

Ajax FireProtect 2 SB is a wireless smoke and heat detector for homes and small commercial sites that cannot tolerate nuisance alarms. It combines a dual-spectrum optical smoke sensor with two thermistors, so it reacts to a real fire rather than steam or dust. This is the black enclosure.

The smoke chamber is sealed against dust and insects, and a proprietary algorithm weighs both sensor types before it sounds. An 85 dB siren raises the alarm locally, and interconnection through the hub triggers up to 200 detectors within 20 seconds, with a fallback path that reaches 50 detectors in 60 seconds. The SB version uses sealed batteries rated for up to ten years, and it warns you 30 days before they run flat.
