Turret Camera Kits

A turret camera puts a fixed lens in a ball-and-socket mount you aim by hand — compact, low-profile and quick to set. Compared with a bullet it has a smaller infrared "halo", so it's less prone to front-glare and to attracting spider webs over the lens; compared with a dome it's easier to aim precisely. For general perimeter views — entries, driveways, yards — it's the form factor most installs default to, which is why most of our kits are built around it.

Turret for general perimeter on most homes and small business (the safe default). Bullet for long, narrow runs — a driveway, a fence line, a side passage — where the longer body gives more reach; see the bullet camera kits. Matched turret cameras, a PoE NVR with built-in ports for the cameras, mounting hardware for each camera, and a quick-start guide. HDD-included kits ship with a surveillance-grade drive pre-installed; BYO-HDD kits ship without so you can size the drive to your retention. Cat6 cable to each camera, a monitor for local viewing, and your internet router are not included.

Yes. The cameras record to the hard drive in the NVR, on your premises — there's no cloud fee and no monthly subscription. You own the footage. Remote viewing on your phone (via the Hik-Connect app on Hikvision/HiLook kits) is free; you only need an internet connection at the NVR.

Each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable from the NVR that carries both power and data (PoE), so there's no separate power supply at the camera. The real work is the cable run. For a single-storey home with accessible roof-space paths, a 4-camera install is a sensible weekend DIY job. For two-storey, solid-brick or commercial sites where neat runs and weather sealing matter, professional install is the right call — we can refer a licensed installer.
