Hikvision 8MP AcuSense 6-Camera Turret Kit | BYO HDD + UPS1000 - Hikvision 8MP AcuSense 6-Cam + UPS1000 Kit is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Six 4K AcuSense cameras for a larger property or multi-zone commercial site — front, sides, back, and two flex positions for high-risk angles. 4K gives you usable detail across the longer sight lines a 6-camera layout typically covers.
Built for
- Larger residential blocks, multi-tenant commercial sites, and trade premises where the camera is mounted 8–15 m from the action — 4K resolves a face at 25 m where 6 MP starts to soften.
- Sites where the same camera has to serve general surveillance and ID-quality evidence — driveway entries, loading docks, customer-facing counters.
- Insurance- or compliance-sensitive installs (medical, financial, government contractors) where 4K footage materially strengthens evidentiary value.
- Customers committed to Hikvision Pro who want the headroom to install whatever HDD suits their retention needs (BYO drive — see HDD recommendations below).
AcuSense — what it actually does
Cheap motion-detection treats every pixel change as a potential intrusion: wind, weather, headlights, animals, all of it. AcuSense runs an on-camera deep-learning model that classifies humans and vehicles vs everything else. Hikvision claims up to 95% false-alarm reduction. Practical effect: your phone stops crying wolf, so when it does alert you, you actually look. AcuSense also drives smarter NVR-side search — you can scrub 24 hours of footage filtered to "vehicles only" in seconds.
Why 4K matters here, not just on the spec sheet
8 MP/4K gives you four times the pixels of a 2 MP camera and roughly 1.7× a 6 MP. Practical translation: a face is still identifiable at roughly 25 m vs ~15 m on 6 MP, and you can digitally zoom into recorded footage without it falling apart. The trade-off is bandwidth and storage — 4K cameras eat ~30–40% more disk than 6 MP — which is why the recommended HDD sizes step up.
What's in the box, and why each piece is there
- 6 × Hikvision DS-2CD2386G2H-IU 8 MP 4K AcuSense Turret cameras — 3840 × 2160 (4K UHD) at 30 fps, 30 m IR night vision, AcuSense on-camera human/vehicle AI, IP67, f/1.0 aperture (powered by Darkfighter for low light), 108.8° horizontal FOV, built-in microphone.
- 1 × Hikvision DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8-channel Ultra-series NVR — 8 PoE ports built-in, 128 Mbps bandwidth (comfortable headroom for 4K streams), 2× SATA bays for BYO HDD up to 16 TB, AcuSense-aware features, HDMI 4K + VGA output.
- 1 × Hikvision DS-UPS1000-AU 1000 VA / 600 W UPS — Line-interactive UPS with Automatic Voltage Regulation. ~65–90 min at the system's ~90 W draw. Surge protection on every outlet.
- 6 × camera mounting hardware kits + quick-start guide
BYO HDD — what to buy
This bundle ships without an HDD because customers in this segment usually want to pick their own — and 4K storage planning is more consequential than at lower resolutions. Default recommendation: Seagate SkyHawk AI 8 TB (ST8000VE001, $654.99) — AI-tuned firmware suits AcuSense workloads, ~7–10 days retention at 4K continuous on this camera count. Value alternative: WD Purple 8 TB (WD85PURZ, $769.99) for ~7–10 days 4K retention. Add it to your cart from the recommended HDD section below the buy button.
Why this size and not the next one up/down
6-cam vs 4-cam: 4-cam covers a small footprint but typically forces compromises on the back corners. 6-cam vs 8-cam: 8-cam fills the NVR completely (no spare channels for future expansion) but covers two additional lines of sight on the same recorder.
Why the +UPS variant and not the standard kit
The 1000 VA UPS keeps the system recording through a typical distribution outage rather than going dark the moment power blinks. Worth it if (a) you've actually had power cuts at this site, (b) the property is in a brownout-prone area, or (c) the cost of losing footage during a power event is high (insurance claims, compliance recording, incident reconstruction).

You'll need to supply
- Surveillance-grade HDD — recommended: Seagate SkyHawk AI 8 TB (ST8000VE001, $654.99) — AI-tuned firmware suits AcuSense workloads, ~7–10 days retention at 4K continuous on this camera count. See HDD section above.
- Cat6 ethernet from NVR to each camera — we stock the Hikvision Cat6 305 m spool (DS-1LN6UZC0-BLUE, $289.99) and StarTech Cat6 RJ45 plugs (CRJ45C6SOL50, $49.99). One spool covers most 6-cam installs.
- Monitor with HDMI 4K input for full-resolution local NVR viewing.
- Internet router for Hik-Connect remote access.
- Drill + masonry bits for camera mounting.
Saving vs buying separately
Components individually: $639.99 (NVR) + 6 × $269.99 (cameras) + $109.99 (UPS) = $2369.92. Bundle price: $2251.42. You save $118.50.
