Pro Series Kits

Pro Series kits are built around higher-grade cameras — typically varifocal optics, a longer infrared range, and better low-light performance than the standard fixed-lens range. The practical payoff is detail at greater distance and more control over framing, which is why these kits suit commercial sites, long perimeters and demanding viewing distances.

A fixed-lens camera has one set field of view. A varifocal lens lets you adjust the focal length — effectively zoom and set the framing — at install, so you can dial a camera in tightly on a gate at distance or widen it for a forecourt, without swapping the camera. It's the flexibility that makes Pro Series cameras suit positions where a fixed lens would be the wrong angle.

For long viewing distances, larger commercial sites, or positions where you need to frame precisely and see detail at range — yes. For typical residential perimeter at normal distances, a standard turret or bullet kit does the job at lower cost. The honest answer: Pro Series earns its premium where the distance and framing demands are real, not as a default upgrade. Tell us the distances and we'll say which fits.

Yes. Footage records to the hard drive in the NVR on your premises — no cloud fee, no monthly subscription, and you own the footage. Free remote viewing via the app; you only need an internet connection at the NVR.

Each camera runs on a single Cat6 cable from the NVR that carries power and data (PoE) — no separate power at the camera. The cable run is the real work; varifocal models also need the lens set at install for the right framing, which takes a little care. Single-storey installs are a sensible DIY job; commercial and long-distance installs are usually better done professionally. We can refer a licensed installer.
